It’s time to give away more tickets to Battle of the Haunted Houses. This haunted experience is located inside the Foothills Mall in Fort Collins, Colorado.
Destination Terror is an elaborate haunt with monsters lurking in every corner.
The Nightmare Experience is a haunted house where there really IS a monster under the bed.
Your ticket to the Battle of the Haunted Houses gets you into both Destination Terror and the Nightmare Experiment. Tickets are $17 (save a $1 by bringing a can of food to donate).
This week, I’m giving 2 lucky winners a pair of tickets each, but this time around you’ll have to work just a little bit. I want to know your favorite scary movie. I have several including The Shining, The Sixth Sense and The Others.
I will pick TWO names at random on Friday around noon. Â Good luck!

I would have to say Bairwitch Project, I watched that before a week long hiking/camping trip….definitely got my attention!
I’d forgotten about that movie. I think I was in college when that film came out and every time we’d go camping someone would pile rocks in front of all the tents. 🙂

“Eat, Pray, Love”
That shit is downright terrifying.
THAT, and any film based on a book by Nicholas Sparks. 🙂

My top two faves- The Shining and the Original Nightmare on Elm St 😉
Permalink
Do you know I’ve never seen Nightmare on Elm Street? Gonna have to Netflix it this Halloween.

Oh I love scary movies. I have to start by saying that I have much of the dialogue to both The Shining and Poltergeist memorized, because I love to watch those two so often. But I also have to mention Drag Me To Hell as a favorite too. I love a scary movie with laughs!!
I have quite a few friends who liked Drag Me to Hell. Would it be too scary for me? After all, I’m a self-confessed wimp!!!
It’s decently scary! Maybe 6/10 in scariness, but if you can laugh at the (purposely) campy parts, it makes it easier to handle! Your call…
Permalink
Probably too scary. The Ring kept me up for nights. In fact, I actually woke my husband up several times during these episodes and made him read Readers Digest to me. True story!!! He’s a really good guy. LOL!
Aw! He must be a really sweet guy! My hubby takes a sleeping pill and leaves me to fend for myself. But, in your defense, The Ring is waaay scarier than Drag Me To Hell.
As a kid, I was scared of a lot of movies, but the one that frightened me the most was Witchboard. I don’t think I have touched a Ouija board since!
I’ve never heard of that movie, Jaime! Only played with a Quija board once in high school. We freaked ourselves out!!!
I love ghosts and demons. I’ll probably get crap for it, but I really like the Paranormal Activity movies, and Exorcism of Emily Rose.
Though as I was reading the comments I was reminded of how awesome Drag Me to Hell is!
Diana, I havent seen Exorcism of Emily Rose. I’m fairly sure it would give me nightmares!!!
Love scary movies and I would have to say that my favorites are any Zombie/end of the world movies. Dawn of the Dead and 28 Days Later are my favorites!
I just re-watched ZombieLand. That’s a good one! I like zombie movies too. Too bad this season of The Walking Dead didn’t start out very well. Hopefully it gets better.
The ring, the crazies, grudge, Texas chainsaw, exercism of Emily rose, holloween (all), nightmare on elm street (all) I can keep going. Scary movies is all I watch
Permalink
Aliens. Predator. The Thing. Final Destination (all). Count Yorga. Night of the Living Dead.
In that order…there are many many more…..but Aliens is my fave!
I would have to go with the Exorcist, part 1. And for me Cujo has always been a nightmare.
