This past weekend, Ryan and I needed a place to stay in Denver after Bru Frou, an amazing culinary and craft beer pairing event held annually at Wings over The Rockies Air & Space Museum. JW Marriott Denver, just 4.5 miles from the venue, graciously offered to host us.
This Denver hotel is the very definition of posh, but you don’t have to take my word for it. In 2014, it made Condé Nast Traveler’s Readers’ Choice list as one of the “Best Hotels in the West.”
In 2015, the JW Marriott Denver underwent a large renovation which included the commission of more than 600 works of art by Colorado artists. The hotel is currently featuring several large-scale paintings by Thomas Arvid, a nationally renowned artists who creates still-life compositions of wine and the rituals that surround it.

We popped into The Vineyards during our exploration of Cherry Creek this past weekend where we tasted a variety of vintages by Bibi Graetz. Free wine tastings occur every Friday and Saturday from 2 to 6 p.m. at this 45-year old wine shop.
