Archives For Radio Segments

cinco de mayo sombreroIt’s time for another segment of HeidiTown on KRFC 88.9 FMI’m physically exhausted, having just spent four crazy-fun days in Durango, Colorado. I can’t wait to write about this trip and share all the lovely photos I captured while in the area.

In the meantime, this week’s radio show covers Cinco de Mayo and Mother’s Day. Yes, Mother’s Day is just two weeks away, folks!

So without further ado, LISTEN HERE.

It’s time for another segment of HeidiTown on the radio. Every other week my show airs on KRFC 88.9 FM in Fort Collins, Colorado.

I’ve been trying not to overwhelm radio listeners with names and dates, because HeidiTown is not a calendar of events, however there’s so much good stuff happening this month, this segment is a little festival-heavy so listen closely.

There’s lots of music coming up this weekend in Northern Colorado and at the end of the month geeks and nerds will want to be at the Denver Tech Center – listen to find out why! There’s even a little something for bird lovers, art lovers and outdoor enthusiasts in this segment.

Go on an adventure - HeidiTownThis week’s a little screwy, but that’s okay. Radio is not an exact science and neither is blogging. This post usually goes up on a Monday, but this week it’s being posted on a Friday, but that’s okay too because most of what I talk about in this segment are festivals in mid-April.

As you know, my radio segments on KRFC 88.9 FM are now recorded and aired every other week instead of weekly.

In this week’s segment I discuss great events happening in mid-April. In fact, the second week in April is so busy you’ll need a couple clones to do everything. I also share a bit about my trip to Ouray, Colorado.

You can listen to the entire KRFC HeidiTown segment HERE.

It’s that time again, time for another installment of HeidiTown on the radio.

Every two weeks I have a show on KRFC 88.9 FM, community public radio. I’ve been doing a lot of traveling this winter, so in this week’s segment I share a little from our trip to Grand Junction and the surrounding area. I will be writing some blog posts about this trip as well, so stay tuned!

Also included, a preview of the Fort Collins St. Patrick’s Day Parade – a very popular and very green event in Northern Colorado.

Without further ado, listen to this week’s segment HERE.

It’s time for another HeidiTown segment on KRFC 88.9 FM.

As a reminder, I’ve decided to cut down on these radio shows because I create entirely new content for each segment and it’s too much  to keep up with on a weekly basis. So, the HeidiTown show can be heard now twice a month on the radio.

This week’s show includes a preview of a couple upcoming winter carnivals and a look at some Colorado winter sports you should try out this season. Some of these “sports” require little more than sitting down and hanging on, as you can see by this photo.

So sit back and buckle up and take a listen to this week’s radio show HERE.

This week’s radio segment is a little embarrassing. My voice is so husky that I sound like my other job might be at one of those late night phone chat establishments. The truth is that last week I was knocked on my butt with a terrible head cold/flu thing that I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy.

Anyway, I’m just about back to normal, whatever normal is, and you should totally listen to this week’s radio show. Not only to laugh at my sex-phone voice, but to learn about new dinner theater productions in the works and some Colorado winter festivals this February that should definitely be on your radar.
