Colorado Oktoberfests, a comprehensive list

Like many people in the United States, Coloradoans have a lot of German blood. Many of these immigrants came by way of Russia. If you don’t know that story, check out the American Historical Society of Germans from Russia – fascinating stuff.

However, you aren’t here for a history lesson! You are here to discover where to find the perfect brat, where to practice your German, and where to find good beer in a over-sized mug.

You are in luck!  Thanks to help from the German American Chamber of Commerce – Colorado Chapter, I have compiled a list of Oktoberfests taking place all over Colorado in 2011.

Greeley Oktoberfest

Sept. 23-24: This is an outstanding two-day event and one of my favorite Oktoberfestivals in Colorado. With German music, dancing, lots of festival seating, educational information, vendors, authentic food and more, don’t miss it! Click here or on the logo at the left for more information.

Oct. 1 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.: HeidiTown is a sponsor of this authentic German festival with beer from Grimm Brothers Brewhouse, a polka band, accordion players, German dancing and food and so much more!  Visit the fest on Facebook or click the logo on the right for more info.
