Brazil Fest livens up Fort Collins, Colorado

Here’s a little secret, the Mayor loves anything Latin  – food, music, siestas, beer, dance   –  especially the dancing. So when I heard about Brazil Fest in Fort Collins I had to give this little fiesta a HeidiTown shout out.

Rodizio Grill is presenting this free, one-day event to benefit Americas Wyoming Chapter Breast Cancer project. The project is raising money for a mobile mammography unit and a portion of event beer sales will go to this project.

The day features music from local Afro-Brazilian drum ensemble Bloco em FoCo and samba dancing and lessons from a local group. There’s also Brazilian art, food and drinks.   This is a kid-friendly event with a soccer and mask-making contest, a bouncy castle and face painting.

Brazil Fest runs from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on September 4, in the park next to Rodizio Grill at 200 Jefferson Avenue in Fort Collins, Colorado.

So get to Fort Collins this weekend and get your hips into action!
