If you hang out in HeidiTown then you’ve probably learned a few things about the Mayor. First, you are likely aware, especially after last week, that I am a redhead who is crazy about St. Patrick’s Day. You know that I am partial to beer, wine and the occasional whiskey (or scotch).

What you may or may not know is that I’m a fanatical fan of soccer.  When I wrote the post  Where to Watch World Cup in Northern Colorado it was the one of my highest hit posts of 2010. I had no idea there were so many soccer fans in NoCo and my heart sang!

For a number of years my husband and I have had season tickets to the Colorado Rapids. At the end of last season  HeidiTown’s Mayor hosted the MLS Cup watch party at C.B. & Potts – Collindale in Fort Collins. Over sixty people showed up and the Rapids won!

Over the winter my husband and I  joined  Class VI Supporters fan group and I’ve become very involved – writing press releases and writing weekly posts on their Facebook page.

So let’s just say I am more than a little excited to be co-hosting a Rapids v. Chivas USA Viewing Party this Saturday, March 26 at C.B. & Potts – Collindale. I am even more excited to welcome the Guest of Honor, the MLS Cup! Yes, the Rapids organization is bring the MLS Cup to this party so that fans can see it and take their photo with the cup.

Here are the party details:

Hosts: The Mayor of HeidiTown.com and Class VI Rapids Supporters

Where: C.B. & Potts at Collindale Golf Course, 1441 E. Horsetooth Road, Fort Collins

When: March 26, party starts at 7:30 p.m., game starts at 8:30 p.m.

What: Come mingle with fellow soccer fans, get up close and personal with the MLS Cup, win prizes, eat good food and drink great beer.

On behalf of the Mayor, you are cordially invited to attend! If possible, RSVP to TheMayor@HeidiTown.com, so that we can let C.B. & Potts approximately how many to expect.

I’d also like to extend a big thank you to the Colorado Rapids organization for bringing the cup to this party. Let’s show them what awesome fans live in Northern Colorado.

And last, but not least, a huge thank you to C.B. & Potts for signing up to be the official viewing party location for Northern Colorado. Five more NoCo viewing parties will be held at this location. C.B. & Potts rocks!
