Win tickets to WineDown the Summer wine tasting event

wine glassSummer is quickly coming to a close… were you able to make the most of it?  I certainly hope so. Here’s another chance to enjoy the last moments of summer with some delicious wine, food and music.

It’s the 4th Annual WineDown the Summer at  Chapungu Sculpture Park in Loveland, Colorado. This sculpture park is an oasis just east of the Promenade Shops at Centerra, and the perfect place to celebrate the end of a lovely Colorado summer. The park includes over eighty Shona African stone sculpture and I highly recommend bringing your camera because the landscape is breathtaking – especially at sunset.

This event takes place on Friday, September 9, from 6 to 9 p.m.

WineDown the Summer is a wine tasting event that also features food from various local restaurants, beer for those non-wine drinkers and music. This year’s band is the Adam Bodine Trio, a jazz group.

A portion of the event proceeds from ticket sales will benefit Partners Mentoring Youth. The proceeds will be applied to Partners Christmas for Kids event taking place on December 3, 2011. Christmas for Kids provides 200 Junior Partners with an unforgettable holiday experience with their Senior Partners not typically experienced in their homes.

Tickets for WineDown the Summer at Centerra are $30/person or $50/couple and can be purchased online (credit cards accepted) at  www.localwineevents.com or in person (cash only) at Engaging Loveland,  Bentley’s Liquor and The Promenade Shops at Centerra -Main Office.

Now here is your chance to win tickets to this enchanted summer evening of wine, music and food.

Just leave me a comment here on the blog and tell me your favorite memory from this summer and be entered to win two tickets to WineDown the Summer.  The winner will be chosen at random this Friday at 3 p.m.  Good luck!

My favorite part of this summer was being able to get out of a dead end job and get a fresh start with a new company. I need some time to unwind now! 😉

My favorite memory of the summer would have to be spending time with my 4 kids. Nothing can beat that, but me and my Husband could sure use a night out by ourselves it way overdue.

If I have to choose just one memory from summer, it would have to be watching our little guy learn to ride his bike sans training wheels. We went on our first ever family bike ride last night, and it was the sweetest moment ever. While it’s hard watching our kids grow up so quickly, I will treasure special times like that forever.

That’s a special moment – learning to ride a bike. I still remember learning and then freaking my mom out by learning to ride with no hands! 🙂

My favorite part of the summer was either hearing that Copper sold out of my hoodies in the first couple weeks they had them or staying in a cabin at Hahn’s Peak in Steamboat for my 30th birthday!

July! My favorite part of the summer was coming home from work and walking directly over to the community pool with my wife and son. Wish summer could last forever!

I think it goes without saying how badly I want to win this prize.

My favorite summer memory, in addition to my wonderful Wednesday writers ‘meetings’ with The Mayor, would probably be the visit from my bestest pal, Robbyn. It was a great summer and friends always make it better. Wine helps too;)

Summer has been crazy as they always seem to be. However this year my husband and I celebrated our one year wedding anniversary. We went to Glenwood springs and went on an ATV ride and got to see SOO much beauty. After Glenwood we spent a few days in Palisade, CO where we got married at a family friends vineyard! We said our vows again and toured all our favorite vineyards! It was a wonderful week that I never wanted to end 🙂

Hope you have had a great summer too Heidi!

So my favorite memory of the summer was watching the excitement of my son at Boondocks when he got to drive the Go-Carts all by himself. We went on a discount Tuesday and both had a blast. we spent the whole day playing.

And if I win, my wife will get both tickets to take a friend to this event, as she has not had as much time to enjoy her summer this year and I will be gone that weekend. Hope I win, so I can make her week!

My favorite is plunking my baby daughter in the grass for the first time. Watching her touch it and wonder what the heck it is was so fun! Great pictures!

My favorite summer memory was escaping to Poudre Canyon, to a little campsite right on the bank of the river. I found it magically 🙂 by turning down a dead end road, and hiking in to the river. It has become my favorite place to go and enjoy peace and quiet – and connect with nature’s gorgeous surround.

Sadly, I must report that we have not gone camping once this summer and it’s one of my favorite things. Sounds wonderful Jacqueline!

My best memory this summer is dancing until after Midnight at my niece’s wedding in Oregon – we danced until we dropped!

Nice. I was born in Oregon. Interestingly some of my best summer 2011 memories took place there too! 🙂 Where was the wedding? My folks now live in Corvallis, but I was born near Brookings.

Being my first full summer living in Colorado, my favorite memory was seeing the change in seasons from snowy capped mountains to an amazingly beautiful summer full of life. Hard to beat living in Colorado!

My favorite part of this summer was family weddings, and getting my son prepared for preschool! We also have a new baby that has been a joy to watch grow and learn over the course of the year so far! It has been a great summer for our family, and it would be so nice if my husband and I could get out for an evening together!

My absolute favorite memory from this summer was getting together with five of my best friends to do a free facial. We got to spend time together and felt great afterwards! (but I really enjoy all my time with friends)

My favorite memory this summer was also playing in the mud! I ran a WILD summer camp in Loveland & play was my middle name! I taught probably 60 kids how to just “be” outdoors this summer… that was amazing!

My favorite memories of this summer were Friday Afternoon Clubs with my favorite girlfriends. We always laugh so hard and enjoy ending our busy week with a relaxing evening over cocktails on a shady outdoor patio. The WineDown sounds like a perfect way to spend a Friday night!
