One of Northern Colorado’s biggest festivals is just around the corner and the best part? It’s entirely free. This event includes more than 70 Colorado bands and three national headlining acts on six stages. In total there are eight stages this year and 120 performances by talented Coloradans. In addition there are 250 arts, crafts and food booths.
Fort Collins, Colorado truly comes alive during the three days of Bohemian Nights at NewWest Fest. We’ve attended for a number of years and it’s a great weekend to visit the city. Yes, it’s crowded, but if you put your mind in festival mode, you will have a good time..
Let’s face it, Bohemian Nights at NewWest Fest is big, so here’s how I approach this festival. I get there early in the day and find a parking spot – it may be blocks away, but we enjoy the stroll through Fort Collins’ beautiful and historic neighborhoods.
I like to walk around the event first, scoping out the various stages and figuring out where I want to camp out on the grass with a beer. While I tend to wing it at this event every year, many of you will want to go in with a plan of attack and the 2013 Bohemian Nights Mobile App for iPhone & Android will certainly help. The app includes the musical lineup and schedule, festival map, festival info and playlist and even lets you share social media updates from the event.
