Liquid Arts Festival is a new Loveland event happening on December 9, 2011.
You are invited to the 1st Annual Liquid Arts Festival during Snow Sculpture in the Dark in Loveland, Colorado. This event will be held at the Bonnell Building in downtown and will feature spirits from various Colorado distilleries.
Our state has long been known for beer, but the handcrafted distillery scene is making a splash too. Award winning distilleries will be sampling their wares at this festival, like my personal favorite, Dancing Pines Distillery. Indulge in bourbon, rum, whiskey, infused vodkas and more while enjoying hors d’oeuvres provided by TASTE Catering. This is your chance to visit with the distillery owners and learn the story behind each of their businesses and to find out how they go about crafting their liquors.
Tasting times are at 5:30, 7 O’Clock and 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $16/person, $28/couple and $18/person at the door. Proceeds from this event will benefit The Colorado Distillers Guild & Engaging Loveland. Tickets can be purchased here.
And now, here’s your chance to win tickets to this awesome event! Courtesy of Dancing Pines Distillery, I’m giving away TWO pairs of couples tickets to Liquid Arts Festival. Just leave me a comment telling me your favorite cocktail and you’ll be entered into the drawing. Two winners will be drawn – at random – on Friday, November 18 at approximately 3 p.m.
You must be 21 or older to win and IDs will be checked at the door of this event.
After sampling all the goods at Liquid Arts Festival, patrons can enjoy the many snow sculptures that will be displayed around downtown at the 2nd Annual Snow Sculpture in the Dark.
Good luck!

Oh so many! I have had a FANTASTIC Chai Martini with the Chai liqueur, I’ll go with that one today : )

A goodnights kiss for sure. Mmm yummy
Place a drop of angostura bitters on a sugar cube and drop into a champagne flute. Add champagne and splash of campari.
My drink of choice is a small batch bourbon on the rocks. But I won’t say no to a lemon martini for a special occasion.
It’s sort of hard to name just one. The jalapeno martini at 4th St. Chophouse is terrific. They had another drink that was sweet. I didn’t think I’d like it but I did. I also like the Esteban at El Monte.
I love bellinis! Or anything made with champagne, really. Or just straight champagne. But if I also won’t say no to a rum and coke. Or anything made with rum, really. Or just straight rum.
I like just about anything made with Rum, but my favorite drink is a Mimosa. My date however would enjoy the Whiskey, on the rocks. Sooo, pick me pick me!
I love mojito’s, especially flavored ones like the mango mojito they had at the Samba Room in Denver!
The correct answer of course, is the Sidecar Cocktail. So tasty, so simple and has a great place in our history. My date is much more of the chai liqueur type, but there’s room in this world for both!
Thanks for the drawing!!!
I want to win! I love mimosas a lot and I also like fancy martinis 🙂

You don’t have to pick my name for the next 5 contests if you choose me for this one. Pick me, pick me! It’s hard to choose one drink because it changes depending on the occasion, food, mood, etc. Since we’re heading into the winter season and talking distilled spirits, I’ll go with hot buttered rum. Made right and mixed with a crackling fire: perfection.
PS: Pick me! 🙂

Wedding Cake Martini! Yummmmm!!!

Talk about stepping up as the Mayor!
Ours would be vodka martinis, old fashioneds, real margs, and bourbon or scotch, neat.
I’d have to say my favorite is a gin and tonic. However, Dancing Pines Distillery made me an awesome apple cider with Brulee and Spiced Rum that was amazing!
I like a lot of different drinks: vodka based martinis, bourbons, scotch(es), whiskeys… I also really like the Chai liqueur, sour cherri liqueurs from Dancing Pines Distillery.
Mojito in the summer; gin and tonic to keep it simple; but a good single malt scotch neat beats them all every time! Thanks for all you do, Mayor! Love the info.
007, James Bond, had it right “Oh James! I’ve gotten your suit wet!” 007 says, “Yes, but my martini is still dry.” … There’s not much better than a Dirty Martini, I say!
Dirty MArtini with Blue Cheese stuffed olives= to die for!!
Your mint jeulip was refreshing and put me in a Derby mood
Permalink
I will always be a fan of spicy Bloody Marys but I’ve become a big fan of an adult version of the Arnold Palmer – I prefer Firefly Sweet Tea vodka but there are others out there to choose from. Pair it with a low-cal lemonade and you get a nice, light tasting drink that can be enjoyed year-round.
I can never pass up a great mint julep! I like to make my own simple syrup with raw sugar and mint. Yum!
I’d love to take my hubby to this! We’re both avid lovers of Whiskey and Bourbons! We just had our second little one, and this would be a perfect “first date” night out!
Hey there! My new fave is a potion called, Cucumber/Lemon cold press……YUMMY!

Bourbon and coke… or maybe a white russian 🙂

Mint Julip- Mint leaves, ice cubes, simple syrup,(muddled) Bourban and club soda. Very tasty!!
Grog. It’s boiled water like for tea, but add rum, lemon and stir with a cinnamon stick. It is one of the oldest drinks recorded, used by the Royal Navy to make their ship’s water stores safe and enjoyable. One of the best reasons to drink is to taste history.
I LOVE the Chai liquor, so Ginger Spice, especially this time of year, is my favorite cocktail. Thanks for offering this contest. Sounds like an amazing local event!
I really like a good rum and coke with a bit of half and half.

To enjoy a wild blue drink that is thick and creamy, the Frostbite is an excellent choice. Use a premium tequila and white crème de cacao for the best results Or if A warm toddy is more to your liking try pouring white crème de menthe and hot chocolate into an Irish coffee glass & Top with whipped cream. To finish it off drizzle the green crème de menthe on top and you have a midnight winter storm!
