I haven’t been to an Irish Festival for years! We used to do the Estes Park Highland Festival every year, but we haven’t done it in a long time due to cost and hassle. This one is so close to home!

I am part Irish, but the main reason is I am retired and don’t have the extra money to spend on the fun things in life any more.

My daughter use to compete in Irish dancing and we loved going to festivals, but do to finances she can no longer participate and we don’t go do many events that charge – which is why we love your group “free things to do …”!

I hear ya Megan! We need this economy to bounce back and fast. Don’t forget about county fairs! Free and lots of fun for the kids. Thanks for entering the contest and good luck!

I have not been much of a “fun mom” this summer because I had to have an operation about midway through that had me laid up in bed for way to long. YUCK! My kids and hubby have been wonderful keeping the house clean and taking care of mom, so winning tickets would be a wonderful way for me to say “Thank You” and to be able to spend the day together as a family with out a sick mommy ruining everything. Not to mention as a bonus, we just discovered that my paternal biological families name was “McReynolds” so we have really enjoyed looking into Irish history and finding out more about our heritage.

Clearly I should win the tickets because I found a gaelic proverb representing how I feel when I am at a celebration of irish culture.

“Agus na damnaithe fagtha gan focal, glaoigh ormsa i measc na naomh”

OK. I’ll give you extra credit for that Kent, but it will be a random drawing. That is a good way to butter up the Mayor though. I like my readers to put a little extra work!!! ๐Ÿ™‚

You rock! Thank you for the opportunity to win some free tix!!! We were just home visiting my family and my Uncle advised us he’s heading back to Ireland in September. He goes every couple of years and I’m so jealous because we’ve never been. He does share pics and stories, so I’ll let him live. Lol. This may be the closest we get to Ireland!!!! We are going regardless but free tix would be wonderful (we all have financial struggles so I’m not sharing my sob story)! Thanks again!!!!

We were so lucky to have spent our honeymoon driving around southern Ireland and would LOVE to have our children (Shane Liam, Kate Ainsley, Sara Delaney and Jace Aiden) experience some of their Fitzpatrick heritage.
